Review

This drama was such a hit that I don’t even know where to start. indeed this series caught my attention a lot, since I LOVE both actors, and although they already squeaked at me at the beginning, because I see a lot of age difference, I wanted to see this drama. And I can’t say that I wasn’t warned, because my friend Meriam classifying it as a “discontinued drama” which wasn’t a very good sign anymore hahaha Still, I really wanted to watch it

The story introduces us to Saet Byeol, a teenage girl who is a gem, but in a bad way: She is a gang member, she is involved in fights all day and smokes with her friends. This is precisely how she meets the protagonist Dae Hyun, a good and naive boy, whom Saet Byeol and her friends intercept one day so that he buys them tobacco. He pretends that he is going to buy it, but he ends up cheating on them and having a story with them, which he will make stay forever in Saet Byeol’s memory. Years later, Dae Hyun is looking for an assistant for her store, and she walks through her doors being now a real lady. She immediately remembers her, but she’s not sure if she thinks the same…

I will not tell more so as not to reveal, and because I have to confess that I left the drama in chapter six. What a disappointment. Seriously, I still can’t believe it, and I’m sorry if any of you who read this liked the series or are fans of it, but for me, it’s the worst drama I’ve seen so far this year. Where to start? The plot is boring to me. Right from the first episode, those webtoon-like effects, those exaggerations of absolutely everything, that aggressiveness in every aspect, those weird characters… that first episode really bored me. Still, I like both actors and decided to continue giving it another chance.

I saw another two episodes, and although sometimes it seemed that it improved the thing, at the end there was always some plot twist that made me roll my eyes and want to get into the series and slap me too hahaha, still, I decided to give it a ooooother chance, and I watched until episode six, and here it was when I said, no more. I’ve already reached my limit. Why am I going to waste my time watching something that is not worth it? if for that chapter it has not hooked me, I doubt very much that the rest of the series would, because my big problem has been everything in general, not because of something specific that could turn a blind eye.

I watched the final episode and that’s it. I have drawn a thick veil over it.

Let’s talk about the characters, few are sincerely saved with those who have managed to empathize. The protagonist seems cute to me, but also too submissive and without personality on many occasions, it cannot be that you are bowed down all day and that a girl much smaller than you manipulates you in that way in all aspects. I love Ji Chang Wook, he is one of my favorite actors, but lately no project he does manages to convince me *I cry a lot* hahaha The protagonist, #madremiadelamorhermoso. I can not stand her. I can’t stand it. She’s one of the most hateful characters I’ve ever seen in a drama and one of the ones that has really pissed me off the most, seriously. It is that the girl is going, to send her to outer space and that she does not return. Aggressive, jealous, manipulative, rancid, bipolar, she could be like this until tomorrow. Yes, I know that her character matures throughout the plot and little by little stops being that unbearable brat from the first episodes, but honestly, I haven’t been able to empathize with her even that way. #lunacabreada haha

He gets into everything, he hits everyone that this really is what has impacted me the most about the plot, the aggressions that are gratuitous at all hours, even between the two protagonists, and I do know that they are cartoonish, but not even with those. She thinks she has the right to everything and she drove me crazy, she like her friends, I haven’t been able to empathize with anyone directly.
And the romance… oh the romance sir, for me it’s zero. Because yes, they are both two beauties, they make a beautiful couple, but for me, she looked too small for him, as I already suspected it would happen to me when I gave my first opinion about the drama, and besides, even though they have chemistry together, the personalities of his characters, he kills everything. It can’t be that she falls in love with him at first sight, and then spends her time hitting him, literally kicking, punching, and a thousand other things because of the tantrums she throws… it’s that she really has left me alone. picture. What’s more, I liked the protagonist a thousand times more with his girlfriend than with the unbearable protagonist who embittered the days of those getting involved. Also those of you who think you’re going to see a high degree of romance, I’m sorry to say that in the series there are only a couple of innocent peaks,

In short, I didn’t like it at all, and it hurts my soul because it could have been a cool drama, since both are great actors, and if they had managed the plot and the characters in another way and not in that strange and aggressive and green (because I haven’t commented on it but the character of the porn webtoon writer, telita haha) would have won much more. If the low ratings were already warning us, but I didn’t want to pay attention to them. I feel like I’ve wasted six hours of my life watching it. And I’m sorry to be so harsh, but the drama… brings it to them.

I do not recommend it at all, but as I always say, the best judge is oneself.
